Our client is an industry-leading global financial investment company based in NJ. They are looking to add a Senior Data Center Architect / Engineer (VP Level) to their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$200k DOE

Position Overview:

This hands-on Senior Data Center Architect / Engineer (VP Level) will act as the subject matter expert for the client’s global infrastructure (Cisco, VMWare, SAN) and will build and deliver enterprise-level services across the organization.

Responsibilities of the Senior Data Center Architect / Engineer (VP Level):

  • Build and deliver enterprise-level critically important services under aggressive schedules and budgets.
  • Data center technologies with extensive knowledge of OSPF, BGP, Multicast, VxLAN overlay, Cisco ACI.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Load Balancers (F5 GTM/LTM), Firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Juniper).
  • Maintain a working knowledge of SAN, NAS & Enterprise Back-up architectures and technologies.
  • Utilize knowledge of VMware virtualization solutions such as (NSX-T, ALB, DFW) and virtualized network functions.
  • Make use of Instrumentation tools (NetScout) and automation frameworks (Ansible).

Qualifications of the Senior Data Center Architect / Engineer (VP Level):

  • 10 years plus of working as a Data Center Engineer within a global enterprise environment.
  • Financial Services or Banking industry experience is preferred.
  • Experience with OSPF, BGP, Multicast, VxLAN overlay, and Cisco ACI.
  • Experience with Load Balancers (F5 GTM/LTM), and Firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Juniper).
  • Experience with SAN, NAS, and Enterprise Back-up architectures and technologies.
  • Knowledge of VMware virtualization solutions including (NSX-T, ALB, DFW) and virtualized network functions.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
