Senior Lab Technician

Our client is an established personal care company with global reach. They are seeking to add a Senior Lab Technician to join their team. This is their production site that is a 24/7 facility that strictly follows GMP and OSHA. The QC Lab is separate from, but directly supports, production.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$62k – $68k Based on experience

Position Overview:

The Senior Lab Technician will work in the quality control lab analyzing raw materials, performing sensory assessments, and evaluating finished products as part of a team. The ability to work well in a fast-paced and diverse team is very important. The Senior Lab Technician will be able to run tests with consistency and complete related documentation with accuracy. The position will be from Tuesday – Saturday from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm.

Responsibilities of the Senior Lab Technician:

• Evaluate and analyze raw materials and finished goods
• Conduct various QC sensory assessments including visual, odor, and taste evaluations
• Perform chemical and physical tests including pH, specific gravity, melting point, IR, refractive index, GC-MS, chromatography, flashpoint, and ICP
• Aggregate data for reports or investigations

Qualifications of the Senior Lab Technician:

• 3+ years of professional laboratory experience with at least 2 years in a Quality Control environment
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP
• GMP experience
• Good attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
• Strong organization and communication skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment as well as individually

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related science is highly preferred
