Salary/Hourly Rate:
$120,000 – $125,000
Position Overview:
The Senior Procurement Manager is responsible for the management and oversight of procurement activities and transactions, the creation of policies and procedures, preparing reports, analysis, presentations, and providing administrative and direct support. The Senior Procurement Manager directs the streamlining of the procurement cycle, contracting and sourcing throughout the organization. Implement an innovative and efficient centralized purchasing function that utilizes available technology and achieves overall savings. Develop a communication strategy that keeps program and corporate customers informed and well served.
Responsibilities of the Senior Procurement Manager:
- Oversee all activities and continuously develop the skill set of the Procurement Team which includes the Procurement Supervisor and Procurement Specialist
- Manage the sourcing and execution of the procurement function throughout the company by assessing stakeholder needs and objectives, defining service level agreements, identifying vendors and conducting the RFP process
- Lead vendor partnerships and overall governance by managing vendor selection, monitoring performance against contracts, mitigating risk
- Drive innovation by maximizing the utilization of available technology to streamline the procurement cycle
- Continuously identify areas containing savings opportunities and develop/execute plans to realize cost reductions
- Create, maintain, and monitor policies and procedures related to the procurement activities of the organization
- Collaborate with program and corporate leadership to provide procurement services, training, and assistance in support of organizational goals
- Function as the primary contact for current and potential vendors and other third parties
- Manage special projects; prepare reports and presentations for Management
- Support and execute procedures and internal controls related to purchase order management
- Draft and distribute professional correspondence and announcements utilizing sound judgment and decision making on distribution and content
- Support the Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer as needed
Qualifications for the Senior Procurement Manager:
- 8 to 10 years of progressively responsible procurement/sourcing experience
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Finance or other Business discipline is required
