Our client is a multibillion-dollar company in the tech cloud industry currently seeking a Senior Staff FICO Analyst to join their team.

Position Overview:

The Senior Staff FICO Analyst will be responsible for configuring and testing SAP modules as part of a large implementation project.

Responsibilities of the Senior Staff FICO Analyst:

  • Understand the business requirement of the organization
  • Collaborate with finance SMEs to ensure that global and local requirements are documented and understood by the Project team
  • Configure FI-CO modules (general ledger, fixed assets, A/P – A/R, assets, controlling, consolidation, and major areas of controlling including cost center accounting, product costing, internal orders, profit center accounting, profitability analysis, and integration areas between order management, procurement, and finance)
  • Translate business requirements into functional specification documents
  • Work with the Development team and Data Warehouse team to ensure specifications are understood and delivered per business requirements
  • Resolve technical and process issues impacting the financial organization
  • Perform testing to discover errors and issues in business processes, documentation, or users’ lack of experience
  • Assist with application support and training of end users
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activity
  • Look for solutions beyond monitoring, support, and bring in value addition

Qualifications of the Senior Staff FICO Analyst:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in SAP FICO
  • Experience in full life cycle implementation projects is preferred
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on expertise in configuring FICO modules GL, AP, AR, Product Costing, Asset Accounting, Controlling, Taxation plus submodules
  • Experienced in writing detailed functional specifications, preparing test scenarios, writing test scripts and performing end-to-end testing
  • Solid understanding of the integration with other modules is essential
  • Worked closely with ABAP, Basis, Data Warehouse and other teams in design and implementation of SAP FI functionalities
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Accounting background and good process knowledge is highly preferred
  • FI-Logistics processes like buy-sell process, third party shipment, intercompany transactions, etc. are a plus
  • Experience with SAP Business Warehouse (BW) is preferred
