Our client is a global investment company currently seeking to hire 2 Service Desk Specialists to join their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$65k – $80k DOE
Position Overview:
This position will be hybrid with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote in Boston, MA. The Service Desk Specialist will work from Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM, but must be flexible with working overtime and responding to after hours on-call support on a rotating basis.
Responsibilities of the Service Desk Specialists:
- Provide support in areas including executive level support, phone support, core application support, remote access, and mobile computing support
- Provide direct support in the day-to-day operations on user systems via remote user desktop support
- Assist in the management of project implementations
- Assemble, install, upgrade, and configure new desktop computing resources including hardware, software, and applications in a Microsoft environment
- Quickly diagnose desktop hardware, software, operator problems, and to recommend corrective action
- Analyze user computing needs and recommend solutions
- Manage file/exchange permissions
Qualifications of the Service Desk Specialists:
- 1 – 4 years of IT service desk experience in a corporate environment
- Proficient in installing, using, and troubleshooting (with native tools) Windows 7, Windows 10 Microsoft Office 2013 & 2016
- Proficient in ServiceNow
- Knowledge of supporting mobile devices both Android and Apple
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP and general networking concepts including DNS, DHCP, FTP & VPN
- Comprehensive understanding and experience with Active Directory
- General experience with desktop imaging, patch management, and deployment
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree is required
