Our client, a company dedicated to providing ease of use in the electronic trading industry. They are seeking a Software Developer to join their team!

Position Overview:

The Software Developer will work in a highly effective software development team responsible for developing & enhancing core trading systems for Fixed Income and Derivative Securities. The Software Developer works in a small team and interacting with technical and non-technical business team.

Responsibilities of the Software Developer:

  • Work in a C environment on both Windows and/or Linux platforms
  • Enhance and maintain backend servers (C++) used for real-time trading applications
  • Contribute during all phases of project lifecycle
  • Work with QA and support teams to address issues that arise during development and testing
  • Work with a substantial codebase, requiring an inquiring and tenacious approach to development and maintenance
  • Implement code for interfacing with the Dealer Pricing Systems and Trading Systems
  • Be able to understand existing code base for existing asset classes and be able to enhance them within the existing infrastructure and coding conventions
  • Ensuring the code is tested thoroughly using tools like low latency test simulators and scripts
  • Improve System Performance by identifying code and procedural inefficiencies

Qualifications for the Software Developer:

  • 5+ years working with C++ as a Software Developer within a Windows Environment
  • Experience with object-oriented methodologies, testing techniques, and multithreaded application development experience
  • Knowledge of Python and JavaScript as well as FIX related applications
  • Well versed with SQL and relational databases
  • MSSQL experience is preferred

Education Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED with 5+ years of experience is required
  • Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of experience is preferred
