Staff Accountant

Our client is an American manufacturing company that sells tableware, giftware, and collectable products. Incredibly stable and well-established business, leaders in their space and looking to hire a Staff Accountant for their constantly growing business.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$65,000 – $75,000 + Bonus

Position Overview:

The Staff Accountant will work directly under the Senior Accountant and be responsible for accounting, sales commissions, allowances, licensing, and royalty reporting. The Staff Accountant will prepare monthly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, general ledger account analysis, financial analysis, and reporting.

Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:

• Prepare/reconcile all balance sheet accounts
• Confirm accruals and reversals are maintained
• Calculate customer allowances
• Prepare schedules and analysis for monthly reporting package
• Maintain fixed assets system, additions and disposals of fixed assets
• Monitor chargeback activity on a monthly basis
• Utilize Hyperion Planning FR reports and Smart View for ad-hoc reporting
• Prepare payments to royalty recipients
• Review licensing income and Royalty expense actual vs budget
• Royalty calculation, reconciliation and report generating
• Assist with all forecast and budgets for the Direct channel

Qualifications for the Staff Accountant:

• 3 to 5 years of Accounting experience
• Advanced Excel (Pivot tables)
• A team player
• Ability to multi-task
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Able to offer flexibility to work schedule as needed for business operations
• Preferred experience with Hyperion, ERP systems, Royalties, Royalty Systems and Licensing Income, and Fixed Assets

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required
