Our client, a Florida-based professional community management and consulting firm, is looking for an impressive Staff Accountant to join their Accounting team based out of Tampa, FL. Salary/Hourly Rate:

$50,000 – $55,000

Position Overview:

The Staff Accountant will join the cohesive Accounting Department, reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, and working alongside ten other individuals. The Staff Accountant will be working in a fast paced and high-volume office that provides extensive exposure to the business of real estate, community and property management.

Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:

  • Knowledge of multi-company financial statements is preferred
  • Knowledge of community or property management industry is preferred
  • General ledger accounting
  • Auditing accounts payable and receivable transactions
  • Month end closing procedures
  • Financial Statement preparation (balance sheet, income/expense statement)
  • Prepares standard monthly financial packets and backup schedules for designated associations

Qualifications for the Staff Accountant:

  • 2 to 4 years of accounting experience, real estate or community management preferred
  • Highly proficient in MS Excel (v/h-lookups, pivot tables, formulas, sum if)
  • Self-sufficient and collaborative
  • Ability to meet deadline requirements and communicate effectively with non-accounting staff

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics is required
