Staff Accountant

Our client is a growing cyber security company based in New York City and are looking for a talented and motivated Staff Accountant to join their team. This role will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of the company and will play a key role in ensuring that our financial records are accurate and up to date.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$60,000 – $75,000

Position Overview:

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of the company and will play a key role in ensuring that our financial records are accurate and up to date. The Staff Accountant is responsible keeping abreast of changes in accounting regulations and industry trends.

Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:

• Preparation and analysis of financial statements
• Recording and reconciling daily transactions
• Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
• Performing month-end and year-end close processes
• Assisting with audits and tax returns

Qualifications for the Staff Accountant:

• 1 to 3 years of experience in accounting or finance
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience with accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Xero
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in the cyber security industry is a plus

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required
