We are partnered with a growing hospitality organization in Broward County seeking a Staff Accountant. They are an outstanding business that is growing at a strong rate. This is an excellent opportunity for junior-level candidates to grow organically with an organization and be exposed to many different functions as they develop.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$70k

Position Overview:

The Staff Accountant will report directly to the Accounting Manager and will be responsible for day-to-day accounting activities. There is also an opportunity to be exposed to some finance planning and analysis when working so closely with the company’s Manager.

Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:

  • Perform general accounting duties.
  • The Staff Accountant will assist with month-end and year-end closing as needed.
  • Prepare financial statements as the staff accountant.
  • Review general ledger accounts and prepare and adjust journal entries.
  • Assist with billing, invoicing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable as the Staff Accountant.
  • The Staff Accountant will perform account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements.
  • Post monthly, quarterly, and yearly accruals.

Qualifications for the Staff Accountant:

  • Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting. Compensation depends on how much experience.
  • The Staff Accountant must possess extremely strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with large data sets efficiently.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required for the Staff Accountant.
