Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant with at least 3 years of experience to join their growing team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$60k – $70k
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate for the Staff Accountant role will have strong accounting fundamentals, experience overseeing others (or be open to doing so), and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:
- The Staff Accountant will perform general ledger accounting, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes.
- Manage or assist in managing junior accounting staff.
- The Staff Accountant will ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments on financial matters.
- The Staff Accountant will assist with process improvements and system implementations as needed.
Required Experience/Skills for the Staff Accountant:
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and full-cycle accounting.
- Experience managing or supervising accounting staff (or willingness to take on leadership responsibilities).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting software.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Staff Accountant:
- Experience within professional services or a similar industry.
- Exposure to ERP systems.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
