Salary/Hourly Rate:

$55/hr

Position Overview:

The Staff Pharmacist will work 35 – 40 hours a week. The ideal Staff Pharmacist will have an interest in medical marijuana and its benefits as well as be able to take a friendly and engaging approach to patient consultations.  Training will be provided! The role will last 2 months, with the opportunity for extension. There are multiple openings that will move fast!

Responsibilities of the Staff Pharmacist:

  • Take an active and personable approach to consultation of patients following COVID-19 safety protocol
  • Assist with documentation and regulatory procedures regarding deliveries and shipments
  • Train staff regarding policy and procedures
  • Look for new ways to make the site more efficient and welcoming for patients
  • Assist in audits and complete documentation for any discrepancies
  • Review medical cards for legitimacy
  • Create effective systems for internal organization and communication
  • Complete necessary, state-required paperwork and maintain organized documentation
  • Set the tone as a mentor and leader in the dispensary among the staff
  • Assist as needed with needs in the dispensary

Qualifications for the Staff Pharmacist:

  • Be a Connecticut State licensed Pharmacist (recent Pharm D grads are welcome to apply)
  • Knowledge of medical marijuana is a plus, but must, at least, be supportive and excited about the benefits of cannabis
  • Professional communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to learn and operate new software and POS systems
  • Leadership ability
  • Ability to empathize and communicate effectively with myriad patients

Education Requirements:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy with active Pharmacist license
