Salary/Hourly Rate:

$50 – $60/hr

Position Overview:

As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our strategic sourcing initiatives. As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist you will collaborate closely with business partners, leveraging your supplier relationship management and financial analysis skills.

Responsibilities of the Strategic Sourcing Specialist:

  • Engage in meetings with business partners, meticulously gathering requirements and reviewing scope of work (SOW)
  • Analyze SOW intricacies, deciding on the viability for sending out Requests for Proposals (RFP)
  • Compile and dispatch RFPs, followed by in-depth analysis and financial scrutiny of pricing responses
  • Create comprehensive pricing templates and collaborate with stakeholders to review RFP responses
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, working to shortlist vendors based on compelling RFP responses
  • Lead the vendor selection process, orchestrating pitches and evaluating stakeholder scorecards
  • Oversee and facilitate annual Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) reviews with Tier 1 vendors
  • Leverage e-procurement tools for SRM scorecards, emphasizing continuous improvement

Qualifications for the Strategic Sourcing Specialist:

  • 5 to 7 years of strategic sourcing expertise in a discreet field
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Supplier Relationship Management
  • Meticulous attention to detail with outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Zycus or similar e-sourcing tools (Word/Excel usage not favored)
  • Preference for pharmaceutical industry exposure, but not a prerequisite

Educational requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Associate’s degree with substantial experience is acceptable
  • Master’s degree is considered advantageous
