Salary/Hourly Rate:
$80-95K
Position Overview:
The Supply Chain Account Manager will consult with clients, and introduce them to the one of the best logistics companies in the world. This role will act as the first primary interface with our key customer, primarily supporting Ocean Import transport services.
Responsibilities of the Supply Chain Account Manager:
- Manage up to 5 mid-sized accounts
- Work with Suppliers and Carriers to ensure all proper documentation is received and completed (i.e. Ocean Import documentation, BOLs, etc.)
- Full ownership of import security filings for clients
- Expedite the daily activities of all operational functions ensuring customer satisfaction is successfully achieved, and company policies adhered to with the goal of maximizing profitability for the company
- Responsible for quarterly supplier/ carrier performance scorecard, and supply chain visibility data presentation
- Responsible for developing and presenting shipment data in Excel (VLOOKUP’s & Pivot Tables)
Regular interaction with international suppliers and carriers to ensure timely delivery of goods to meet customers demands
Qualifications of the Supply Chain Account Manager:
- 3PL account management experience
- At least 3-5 years of strong experience working in a Supply Chain, Operations, or Logistics environment managing client accounts
- Previous experience managing multiple small to mid sized accounts
- Strong Excel skills (i.e. VLOOKUP’s & Pivot Table creation is a must)
- Prior experience with Infor Nexus or similar Supply Chain visibility tool
- Experience working directly with international suppliers and carriers
- Experience with performance score carding
- Confident with Power Point presentations
Education Requirements:
- BS in Logistics, Supply Chain, International business, Project Management, or equivalent in experience (minimum 3 years)
