Our client is a family-owned food production company currently seeking a Supply Chain Planner to join their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$85k – $95k

Position Overview:

Our client is seeking a Supply Chain Planner to manage the weekly production schedule of all food products produced at our client’s Elgin plant.  The Supply Chain Planner will also manage inventory levels and support new product development initiatives.

Responsibilities of the Supply Chain Planner:

  • Develop weekly finished good production schedules based on targeted inventory levels, forecast, open orders, and line capacity to fulfill customer demand while meeting/exceeding assigned KPIs
  • Execute the deployment/stock transfer of goods to the 3PL locations and utilize stock balancing activities to increase turns and to support the On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) metrics
  • Minimize excess and obsolete inventory by analyzing inventory levels and identify any areas of risk. Communicate risks in a timely manner to appropriate members of the SC team/organization
  • Leverage intelligence from internal business partners to assess production risks and elevate concerns to management

Qualifications of the Supply Chain Planner:

  • 3+ years of experience in a Supply Planning role, preferable food manufacturing
  • Strong Excel skills. Pivot tables and VLOOKUPs are a must
  • Comfort working within an ERP system (Microsoft GP or SAGE experience is a plus)

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required (Supply Chain, Logistics, Mathematics/Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or a related field of study)
