Our client is a global leader in the logistics industry – they are seeking a talented Supply Chain / Procurement Specialist to join their team.

Position Overview:
The ideal Supply Chain / Procurement Specialist will be a highly analytical individual by nature, passionate about supply chain/logistics and a self-starter.

Responsibilities of the Supply Chain / Procurement Specialist:

  • Serves as part of the procurement team and maintains and manages business relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance to contractual terms
  • Responsible for planning, purchasing, sourcing of parts, finished goods, raw materials etc
  • Effectively resolve supplier quality corrective actions
  • Data extraction, vendor management
  • Verify receipts, resolve errors, review supplies and verify stock and monitor stock levels
  • Ensure orders adhere to supplier agreements and contracts
  • Prepares and communicates shortage and backlog reports, and provides visibility of potential interruptions to customers
  • Create purchase orders RFQ’s (Request for quotes)
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of purchases
  • Invoicing & Data Analysis

Qualifications for the Supply Chain / Procurement Specialist:

  • Advanced Excel Proficiency
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Negotiation & communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
  • Excellent presentation and business acumen

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or related
  • 1-3 years of experience (Supply Chain or Procurement role)
