Our client, a global transportation and shipping company located in Staten Island, NY. They are seeking a Systems Support Specialist to join their team!

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$70,000 – $75,000 plus bonus

Position Overview:

This Systems Support Specialist will be responsible for working 100% onsite in Staten Island and must have access to a vehicle to travel to another local site in Bayonne, NJ when needed. This Systems Support Specialist will be supporting the employees and staff of the company with all network, computers, laptops, printers, and mobile devices issues.

Responsibilities of the Systems Support Specialist:

  • Provide support for desktop computer hardware when requested
  • Implement daily routine support policies to ensure that the facility operates with maximum uptime and effectiveness
  • Provide monitoring and support for all CISCO products (wired and wireless)
  • Provide monitoring and support for Network Firewalls
  • Provide support for all Telecommunications Systems. This includes voice and data. It also includes all technical liaisons with outside service providers of communications facilities
  • Ensure that ALL network points of access wired, or wireless comply with security and anti-virus policies

Qualifications for the Systems Support Specialist:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Technology Systems Support Environment
  • Must develop rapport with all levels of employees and external persons
  • Environment: Windows OS, Office 365, Exchange, Cisco devices, and phones

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred but is not required
