Our client is leading transportation service company that runs throughout the entire state of New Jersey. The company provides safe and reliable forms of transportation through Bus, Train, and Light rail services. This Talent Acquisition Partner position is an open-ended TEMPORARY role.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$20 – $32/hr Dependent on experience

Position Overview:

The Talent Acquisition Partner is responsible for the entire recruitment/hiring process. The Talent Acquisition Partner will take initiative on sourcing candidates through social media, screening/ interviewing candidates, and maintaining all documentation / communication in ATS. Our client is looking to hire a Recruiter for their Corporate Team in Maplewood.

Responsibilities of the Talent Acquisition Partner:

  • Carries out recruiting plan for agreement and non-agreement positions at all levels; identifies recruiting sources to maintain a pipeline of applicants
  • Will be responsible for recruiting and staffing initiatives (i.e., college/military recruiting) from inception to completion
  • Screens and interviews prospective candidates on the phone or in person and participates in panel interviews with hiring managers as appropriate
  • Counsels management in structuring external offers; extends internal/external offers
  • Prepares behavioral interview questions; facilitates the candidate selection discussion and hiring decision
  • Utilizes social media and other vehicles to recruit talent
  • Interprets policies and procedures for client base and develops outreach recruiting plans to meet EO/AA hiring needs
  • Tracks and collects applicant tracking data; generate recruiting reports, as needed
  • Able to proactively network and establish effective working relationships
  • Responsiveness to urgent business needs and requests

Qualifications for the Talent Acquisition Partner:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of recruiting experience in transportation, utility, non-profit, or service industry required
  • Experience working with applicant tracking systems
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience with social network and Internet recruiting tactics
  • Knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations pertaining to employment and hiring practices
  • Strong communication, presentation, organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated customer interfacing skills
  • Experience working with contingency and retained search firms desired

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field – Human Resources, Industrial Psychology is required
