An established industry leader in the branded youth apparel market is seeking a talented Technical Designer. The company designs and produces children’s jerseys, t-shirts and other clothing items for the leading brands in American sports.

Salary/Rate: $60 – $70K, DOE

Position Overview: Our client is seeking an activewear Technical Designer with a strong understanding of stretch jersey fabrics. This role will involve all aspects of Technical Design for both women’s and children’s product.

Responsibilities of the Technical Designer: 

  • Technical Designer will be responsible for Women’s and Junior’s Activewear Product
  • Create and update specification tech packs, including detailed technical sketches, graded measurements and construction details according to fit direction lead by design
  • Specing garments
  • Attending fittings and creating fit comments
  • Working closely with cross functional teams

Qualifications for the Technical Designer: 

  • 3-5 years of experience in knits
  • Technical Design experience in activewear a must
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Excellent communication skills

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
