COMPENSATION: $25/hr - $35/hr

Our client, a established real estate company based in New England with a diverse portfolio of apartments, condominiums and cooperatives. They are seeking a Temporary Property Manager to join their team!

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$25 – $35/hr

Position Overview:

The Temporary Property Manager is responsible for the daily operations, activities and resources for the community, and providing leadership and direction to the team providing excellent customer service to the residents. The Temporary Property Manager has oversight for maximizing occupancy and upholding the values of the community.

Responsibilities of the Temporary Property Manager:

  • Responding to all resident, client, vendor and supervisor messages within same business day, and no longer than 24 hours
  • Deal with all resident concerns in a timely and professional manner to ensure high resident satisfaction
  • Communicate professionally via phone, email and in person
  • Responsible for collection of rent, lease applications, security deposits, evictions and resolving issues and disputes with residents
  • Be up to date on current Affordable Housing compliance information and HUD requirements; ensuring compliance and maintain professional certifications, and submitting relevant documentation as required
  • Develop and implement resident retention plan to ensure maximum possible occupancy
  • Conduct property tours, carry out marking programs and lead lease orientations
  • Oversee resident activities and programs, and ensure accessibility to all
  • Ensure preventative, routine and repair maintenance is scheduled and carried out within property budget and goals
  • Conduct weekly property inspections, supervising capital improvement programs; managing internal maintenance team, and coordinating with external contractors
  • Ensure emergency procedures are planned, communicated and up to date with current compliance regulations

Qualifications for the Temporary Property Manager:

  • 1+ year of Property Management Experience
  • Affordable Housing and HUD experience
  • Marketing and Leasing Experience
  • Proficiency in One Suite preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to physically inspect property
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and be flexible and adaptable

Education Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED is required
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred
