Salary/Hourly Rate:

$28 – $33/hr

Position Overview:

The Transportation Specialists manage transportation processes across a wide variety of organizations. The Transportation Specialist will coordinate the movement of goods, products, materials, or people, ensure adherence to industry regulations, and prepare transportation schedules.

Responsibilities of the Transportation Specialists:

  • Responsible to monitor the small parcels freight in-transit in order to anticipate issues, treat exceptions, proactively de-escalate situations, and root cause/fix delivery problems
  • Resolve customer complaints for late delivery and lost shipments
  • Make requests to providers for changes in data and reports
  • Point of contact for reporting results

Qualifications for the Transportation Specialists:

  • 3+ years of supply chain, manufacturing distribution warehouse operations, inventory control, or physical logistics experience
  • Strong Microsoft office skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, & problem solving skills highly detail oriented
  • Some experience with logistics, but good customer service skills
  • Experience creating SOP & gathering business requirements
  • Able to influence management of strategic decisions based on data analysis and logic
  • Previous experiences in consumer goods industry and or B2C, retail logistics preferred
  • Base knowledge in Finance Accounting and Internal Controls processes

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration is required
