Our client, a non for profit organization located in Manhattan is seeking a VP of Finance to join their growing team. The VP of Finance will serve more as a CFO or right hand to the CEO of the organization for all things accounting and finance related. : $150k + bonus

Position Overview:
The VP of Finance will serve as the head of the finance and accounting team. You will oversee the team and your direct reports, in addition to the day to day functions of the business.

Responsibilities of the VP of Finance:

  • Handle all aspects and functions of finance and accounting related to the growth of the organization
  • Serve as the right hand to the CEO of the organization
  • Overseeing the organizations budget and flow of donations and fundraising, handle overall organization cash flow, financial projections and budget
  • Work closely and prepare financial reports for the Board of Directors; experience working with a board is highly preferred
  • Oversee annual audit and tax filing
  • Additional projects as needed

Qualifications for the VP of Finance:

  • 10-15+ years of experience in finance and accounting; ideally out of the non for profit industry
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must serve as a true leader for the organization
  • Able to work independently and assume new responsibilities on an as needed basis
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience as a CFO, Vice President of Finance, Finance Manager or equivalent

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required; CPA or MBA are a huge perk
