Client Overview:
Our client, a natural flavors manufacturer, is seeking a Customer Service Specialist (Manufacturing) to join their team on a long term contract-to-hire basis.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$20/hr – $25/hr
Position Overview:
The Customer Service Specialist (Manufacturing) will join a collaborative and professional team dedicated to providing high level of responsiveness to their customers in the food and beverage industry. The Customer Service Specialist (Manufacturing) will also be working cross-functionally with multiple departments, various customer accounts, and vendors to deliver on time and accurate orders.
Responsibilities of the Customer Service Specialist (Manufacturing):
- Accurately process incoming customer orders and revisions in a time sensitive manner.
- Ensure correct pricing, minimum order requirements, and detailed order information.
- Maintain clear communication with customers regarding order statuses and delivery schedules.
- Handle returns and resolve customer inquiries, complaints, and discrepancies with a proactive problem-solving approach.
- Ensure timely and accurate order processing.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as sales and production to ensure customer satisfaction.
Required Experience/Skills for the Customer Service Specialist (Manufacturing):
- 3 years minimum of experience in a customer service position within the food and beverage manufacturing environment, though other manufacturing industries may be considered.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to provide top notch service and professional etiquette in all interactions both internally and with customers.
- Strong math skills and knowledge of conversion for calculating orders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, in addition to CRM and ERP systems (preferably SAP).
- Collaborative and proactive problem-solving approach to servicing customers and working with internal teams
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
