Client Overview:

Our client is seeking an Accounting Analyst to work on their accounting team out of the Pembroke Pines, FL office.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$22/hr – $26.44/hr

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Analyst to support financial operations through accurate processing of invoices, payments, and data entry. This Accounting Analyst role includes assisting with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting by analyzing trends, reconciling accounts, and monitoring variances. Strong understanding of accounting principles and cost control is essential.

Responsibilities of the Accounting Analyst:

• Understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Processing invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and efficiently.
• Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies.
• Entering accurate financial data into accounting systems.
• Assisting in the development of budgets by gathering data, forecasting expenses, and revenues.
• Comparing actual results to budgeted figures, identifying discrepancies, and explaining variances.
• Supporting the creation of financial forecasts by analyzing trends and predicting future financial performance.
• Understanding cost drivers and assisting in analyzing and controlling expenses to adhere to the budget.
• Generating budget reports and monitoring budget adherence throughout the financial period.

Required Experience/Skills for the Accounting Analyst:

• 2 – 3 Years of Experience in Accounting with exposure to budgeting.
• Proficient in Excel.
• Attention to Detail.
• Excellent communication skills; written and verbal.

Preferred Experience Skills for the Accounting Analyst:

• ERP experience.
• Analyzing and researching.

Education Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Open to candidates currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
