Atrium’s valued business partner and client, a growing distribution organization, is looking for a strategic Chief Financial Officer to join their Executive team at their corporate offices based in Tampa, FL. This organization has nearly doubled in size within the last couple of years and is eager to build upon those organic growth rates.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$150k – $175k
Position Overview:
The Chief Financial Officer will work alongside the ownership group and the CEO and be responsible for supporting the financial management, IT, and HR strategy across the organization. This Chief Financial Officer must be professional, mature, and poised with a proven background in people management. The Chief Financial Officer will be critical to the success of organizational alignment and digital transformation.
Responsibilities of the Chief Financial Officer:
- Responsible for end-to-end financial management, including all supervision duties and hiring all assigned staff members.
- Evaluates and manages all personnel across finance, accounting, information technology, and human resources.
- Develops and executes financial strategies to maximize revenue growth, profitability, and long-term sustainability.
- Monitors, reviews, and verifies accounting records and transactions for accuracy, timeliness, and adequacy of supporting documentation.
- Ensures compliance with internal policies and federal & state rules and regulations.
- Oversees and develops financial forecasting, budgeting, capital allocation, and risk management.
- Leads all financial modeling scenarios, investment strategies, and subsequent analysis to support company objectives.
- Supervises the collection and formatting of financial data for special management studies and key performance indicator standards (KPIs)
- Provides financial data with explanations and interpretation to the ownership and Executive teams.
- Oversees IT strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and digital transformation objectives.
- Collaborates with IT leadership on the direction and input for the development of accounting systems, IT applications, cybersecurity, and analytics
- Examines and evaluates internal methods and procedures for adequacy of controls.
- Ensures departmental compliance with all applicable policies and procedures.
- Establishes and maintains an appropriate network of professional contacts, vendor relationships, and external resources.
Required Experience/Skills for the Chief Financial Officer:
- A minimum of 15+ years of experience within financial leadership and/or executive Level.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (US GAAP), including intercompany and multi-entity accounting.
- Proven history in IT infrastructure, digital transformation, and ERP system implementations.
- Proven history in HR strategy, talent management, and organizational leadership.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment that runs complex business operations year-round.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is required.
- Master’s degree, CPA, or CMA designation is highly preferred.
