Client Overview:

Our client based in New York City is seeking a highly organized and driven Temporary Administrative Assistant to support their growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone eager to grow alongside a forward-thinking company and contribute meaningfully to its success.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$25/hr – $30/hr

Position Overview:

The Temporary Administrative Assistant will play a key role in maintaining the overall flow of the office and supporting leadership and executives with scheduling, communication, and coordination. The Administrative Assistant will serve as a go-to resource for internal teams, ensuring day-to-day functions run smoothly. This is a true contract position for 3 – 4 months but could extend or become permanent based on performance reviews and company headcount.

Responsibilities of the Temporary Administrative Assistant:

  • Oversee scheduling, coordinate meetings, and arrange travel logistics.
  • Act as the primary contact for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate office functions such as supply management, vendor relations, and facility oversight.
  • Compose and present reports, create presentations, and draft necessary internal documentation.
  • Organize onboarding procedures for new employees.
  • Ensure the maintenance of systematic filing systems, both digital and physical.
  • Organize and manage events for team building and enhance office culture.
  • Offer flexible administrative support to various departments as required.

Required Experience/Skills for the Temporary Administrative Assistant:

  • 2+ years of experience in an Administrative Assistant or office manager role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time-management and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Temporary Administrative Assistant:

  • Prior experience as an Administrative Assistant in a fast-paced environment, startups preferred.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (Microsoft Suite, Trello, etc.).
  • Comfort with a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required with relevant experience.
