Our client is a leading provider of technology solutions in the construction industry. With a reputation for excellence and innovation, we support major projects across multiple states and specialize in helping clients navigate complex regulatory, contractual, and compliance processes. They are looking to add a Contract Specialist/Paralegal to their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$85k – $95k Annually (Depending on experience)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Contract Specialist/Paralegal to assist with legal and contract administration tasks. This is a dynamic, hands-on role supporting the company’s construction operations, contract compliance, and legal documentation process. You will also serve as the point of contact with external legal counsel and assist with internal process development.
Responsibilities of the Contract Specialist/Paralegal:
- Review contracts and legal documents for accuracy and compliance.
- Serve as liaison with outside counsel as needed.
- Assist in negotiating terms with owners, GCs, and subcontractors.
- Prepare monthly CCIP/OCIP reports and support annual audits.
- Process permit applications and manage ongoing licensing/registration requirements.
- Support NOC/NTO documentation and ensure timely execution.
- Maintain contract summary sheets and participate in bi-weekly project compliance meetings.
- Attend project kickoff meetings to ensure contract compliance standards.
- Develop and maintain an electronic permit database organized by state, county, and city.
- General administrative support related to contracts and legal matters.
Required Experience/Skills for the Contract Specialist/Paralegal:
- Paralegal certification or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of construction contract language and industry terminology.
- Experience in reviewing contracts and suggesting/revising verbiage.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDF editing tools.
- Excellent time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Contract Specialist/Paralegal:
- Previous experience working in the construction or technology infrastructure industry.
- Familiarity with CCIP/OCIP programs and insurance audits.
- Experience with contract compliance in a multi-state environment.
Education Requirements:
- Paralegal certification is required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
