Client Overview:

Our client is a global leader in the beauty and cosmetics industry, offering a wide range of skincare, haircare, makeup, and fragrance products. They are looking to add a Formulations Lab Technician to their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$20/hr – $22/hr (Based on relevant experience)

Position Overview:

The Formulations Lab Technician will support research and development efforts in formulation and stability testing. They will be assisting in formula development of skincare products (creams, lotions, serums, toners, SPFs) to bring to the market.

Responsibilities of the Formulations Lab Technician:

• Batch different formulation trials in the lab to evaluate texture, stability, and aesthetics.
• Set up and monitor stability to ensure the highest quality of products.
• Check formula specs (color, odor, appearance, viscosity, pH, Microscope) to ensure formula stability.
• Collaborate with support teams (analytical, microbiology, processing engineers, etc.) to assist with formulation development and ensure quality of products.
• Able to multitask throughout the day to handle multiple different tasks of the formulation process, as well as multiple projects at the same time.

Required Experience/Skills for the Formulations Lab Technician:

• Up to 2+ years of experience in a laboratory setting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to ensure seamless collaboration with team members.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Formulations Lab Technician:

• Experience in the color science industry is a plus.

Education Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field is required.
