Our client, an organization specializing in managing and developing sports, recreation, wellness, and event facilities, is looking to add an Accounting Manager to their growing team. 

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$80k – $90k 

Position Overview:

Our client is seeking an Accounting Manager to provide leadership and oversight to Finance Managers across multiple locations. A candidate transitioning from or with relevant public accounting experience is highly preferred. This role will play a key part in financial reporting, internal audits, budgeting processes, and system compliance, while also serving as a mentor to onsite financial staff. This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer. 

Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager:

  • Lead monthly closing processes and ensure accurate, timely financial transactions.
  • Supervise the preparation of financial statements and pro forma reports in compliance with US GAAP.
  • Analyze financial results and investigate variances.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure regulatory and procedural compliance.
  • Assess internal control systems and recommend improvements.
  • Support the recruitment, onboarding, and training of Finance Department Managers.
  • Provide ongoing leadership and development for the Finance teams across venues.

Required Experience/Skills for the Accounting Manager:

  • Transitioning out of or relevant public accounting experience is highly preferred. 
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Accounting Manager:

  • Prior experience supervising accounting professionals.
  • Background in multi-location financial operations and consolidations.
  • Familiarity with internal controls, audits, and compliance practices.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
