Our client is a personal care manufacturer that focuses on delivering high-quality consumer solutions. They’re looking to add a Principal Packaging Engineer to their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$130k – 150k
Position Overview:
The Principal Packaging Engineer will lead packaging development from concept to production, ensuring packaging meets all quality, cost, and performance standards. This role works cross-functionally and involves close coordination with global teams and suppliers.
Responsibilities of the Principal Packaging Engineer:
- Oversee full lifecycle of packaging development and testing.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors on materials, specs, and compliance.
- Troubleshoot packaging design and production issues.
- Create new packaging products while ensuring the best cost, quality, and adherence to regulations.
- Validate technical drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate testing protocols and evaluate component compatibility.
- Communicate project updates and drive timelines to launch.
Required Experience/Skills for the Principal Packaging Engineer:
- 6+ years of packaging development experience in personal care packaging.
- Strong project management and communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office, SolidWorks, CAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Principal Packaging Engineer:
- Strong communication skills.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and regulatory standards.
- Leadership experience.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering or related science is required.
