Our client designs and delivers innovative power solutions for a variety of applications and industries. They are seeking a Cost Management Analyst to join their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$120k – $125k

Position Overview:

The Cost Management Analyst will be a key contributor, responsible for establishing accurate standard costs, inventory valuation, internal reporting and analysis, managing cost collection systems and controls, supporting financial close processes, and ensuring compliance with audit and SOX internal control requirements. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and communicate financial information clearly across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities of the Cost Management Analyst:

  • Utilize the cost collection and application system for Plating Operations costs, including initial process definition and implementation. 
  • Set standard costs of Picor Operations; outside processing, materials, labor, overhead, and yield, etc.
  • Picor Inventory valuation and controls, including periodic Physical Inventories and/or cycle count programs, both on-site and at outside vendors. 
  • Monthly financial close process including WIP valuations, Inventory reconciliations, E&O processes, reserves, variance analysis, production levels, etc. 
  • Perform Warranty Analysis and ensure reserves are properly set. 
  • Ensure all SOX control processes are in place and working audits 
  • Internal reporting and analysis of Revenue, Costs, Variances, and Gross Margins.
  • Baseline analysis and modeling tools to facilitate business management and profit improvements. 
  • Analyze Manufacturing Variances for reasonableness to reduce variances. 
  • Use PeopleSoft Query tools for reporting and ad-hoc analyses as required. 
  • Respond to management decision-making needs with Ad Hoc analysis and modeling.
  • Forecasting process of costs and capital expansions. Update Actual to Forecast monthly. 
  • Provide Key support to the new ERP system implementation. 

Required Experience/Skills for the Cost Management Analyst:

  • 7+ years of experience with in-depth knowledge of process manufacturing and ERP-based standard cost and transactional systems.  
  • Willingness and ability to travel regionally a small portion of the time 
  • Strong analytical skills paired with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. 
  • Highly motivated self-starter with strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.  
  • Comfortable interacting with all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.  
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and experienced with PeopleSoft or similar ERP platforms.

Education Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics is required.
