Our client is a private real estate and development company in Orlando who is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their growing team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$70k – $90k

Position Overview:

The Senior Accountant will provide general accounting support in the areas of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting. 

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:

  • Assist the Corporate Accounting Manager in performing variance analyses and financial statements.
  • Record daily cash activity and complete daily bank reconciliations.
  • Record financial transactions via journal entries, including the month-end close process.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up with customers on outstanding balances.
  • Prepare, post, and record customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
  • Perform moderately complex analyses and assist in preparation of monthly account reconciliations in support of the financial statements.
  • Assist the company/organization in establishing and maintaining internal controls and accounting best practices.
  • Perform other duties that are needed to support the accounting department.

Required Experience/Skills for the Senior Accountant:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of accounting experience.
  • Experience in a multi-entity, intercompany transactional environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Desire to grow in responsibility as the company grows.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Senior Accountant:

  • Experience in property management and real estate highly preferred.
  • Experience with various property management accounting systems.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
