Client Overview:

Our client is a fast-paced, innovative private label apparel company specializing in trend-driven, high-quality collections. Their team thrives in a collaborative and energetic environment, delivering stylish and commercially successful products to top retail partners. They are now looking for a Temporary Men’s Sportswear Designer.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$30/hr – $32/hr

Position Overview:

The Temporary Men’s Sportswear Designer must be experienced and creative to join the in-house team. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing seasonal activewear collections and developing original graphics tailored to the men’s market. The Temporary Men’s Sportswear Designer must have a strong background in both apparel and graphic design and thrives in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities of the Temporary Men’s Sportswear Designer:

• Design seasonal collections across men’s activewear categories such as sweatshirts, sweatpants, t-shirts, and knit headwear.
• Create original, trend-relevant graphics for the men’s market.
• Collaborate with internal teams including design, merchandising, and product development to execute the brand vision.
• Apply strong knowledge of fabric, construction, fit, and color in design execution.
• Translate trend research and market insights into fresh and innovative product ideas.

Required Experience/Skills for the Temporary Men’s Sportswear Designer:

• 4+ years of relevant experience in men’s sportswear or activewear design.
• Proven ability to design apparel and graphics tailored to a commercial men’s customer.
• Strong understanding of trends, fabrics, and garment construction.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Temporary Men’s Sportswear Designer:

• Experience working with private label or licensed brands.
• Familiarity with PLM systems and production processes.
• Fashion industry experience strongly preferred.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design.
