Client Overview:

Our client is a well-known New York utility firm looking to add a Cybersecurity IT Specialist to their team. This is a one-year consulting opportunity. Our client is seeking a highly motivated candidate who demonstrates a strong commitment to operational excellence, possesses technical proficiency in the deployment and/or management of cybersecurity technologies such as, but not limited to, Trend Micro Antivirus, RSA SecureID, and Splunk.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$60/hr – $65/hr

Position Overview:

The ideal candidate for the Cybersecurity IT Specialist role is well organized, detail-oriented, flexible to handle multiple assignments, and meets deadlines with a safety mindset. This individual must also exercise good judgment and render sound business decisions. The Cybersecurity IT Specialist should possess strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to produce design and procedural documentation. The Cybersecurity IT Specialist must have the ability to lift/transport server equipment when needed and be able to provide off-hour, on-call support as needed to support cybersecurity systems. 

Responsibilities of the Cybersecurity IT Specialist:

• Work with others to implement new deployments of cybersecurity technologies such as Cyberark, Tenable, and other products.
• Assist other upgrade efforts on existing infrastructure equipment to support applications and cybersecurity growth.
• Create documentation and procedures for day-to-day and major tasks as needed.
• Determine and propose a suggested architecture for system deployments.
• Communicate and work with vendors and internal stakeholders on the deployment of technology.
• Configure and set up systems. 
• Create documentation and train others on the use of the new systems.
• Patch and maintain technology. 

Required Experience/Skills for the Cybersecurity IT Specialist:

• Relevant working experience in a cybersecurity team or performing cybersecurity functions.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Cybersecurity IT Specialist:

• Experience with Anti-Virus solutions such as Trend Micro Deep Security.
• Experience with computer languages or scripting, and PowerShell.
• Experience with RSA Secure ID.
• Experience with Splunk.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to interact with personnel on all levels.
