Our client is a stable and growing dietary supplement company offering custom formulation from bench top to packaging. Their team is now looking for a CAPEX Engineering Manager of Manufacturing.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$125k – $135k
Position Overview:
The CAPEX Engineering Manager of Manufacturing leads the maintenance team and oversees the repair, installation, and upkeep of equipment, facilities, and utility systems. The CAPEX Engineering Manager of Manufacturing also manages the company’s capital project plan and ensures successful execution of improvement projects.
Responsibilities of the CAPEX Engineering Manager of Manufacturing:
- Plan and schedule maintenance, repairs, and equipment installations to keep production running smoothly.
- Develop and manage a preventive maintenance program.
- Inspect machines and equipment for proper operation.
- Identify and implement process improvements to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
- Order necessary tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Train and guide maintenance staff on procedures and company policies.
- Collaborate with operations and quality teams to resolve equipment issues.
- Oversee maintenance of utility systems (power, HVAC, water, etc.).
- Manage building and grounds upkeep, including seasonal maintenance.
- Lead capital improvement projects from planning through implementation including budgets, timeline and execution.
Required Experience/Skills for the CAPEX Engineering Manager of Manufacturing:
- 8 – 10 years of experience in manufacturing, with people leadership skills.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the CAPEX Engineering Manager – Manufacturing:
- Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of manufacturing equipment including conveyors, hoppers, blenders, encapsulation, compression, and stick pack machines.
- Continuous Improvement Mindset: Actively questions the status quo, stays alert to inefficiencies, and is highly engaged with daily operations.
- CAPEX Experience: Hands-on involvement in planning, budgeting, and executing major capital projects—such as facility builds, equipment upgrades, and infrastructure improvements—with a focus on cost, timelines, and long-term ROI.
- Floor-Focused Leader: Actively present on the floor; participates in quality audits, maintains training documentation, and serves on the safety committee in the absence of a dedicated safety department.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similar discipline.
