Our client is a top national law firm. Their team is committed to the highest quality of work and service. They are currently seeking to add a Legal Billing Specialist to their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$60k – $75k
Position Overview:
The Legal Billing Specialist is responsible for the billing process and performing complex billing duties. You will also maintain positive contact with clients, attorneys, and staff at all times using discretion, tact, diplomacy, and good judgment.
Responsibilities of the Legal Billing Specialist:
- Responding to internal and external inquiries promptly.
- Contacting clients regarding delinquent bills and other outstanding issues.
- Preparing and analyzing complex client billing.
- Creating, editing, and processing bills.
- Utilizing computerized billing and payable software modules to complete the billing process and research, and provide information to customers.
- Developing training materials and delivering training.
- Assisting with year-end closing and reporting as required.
- Promoting effective work practices and working as a team member.
Required Experience/Skills for the Legal Billing Specialist:
- 2+ years of prior billing experience in the legal industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel.
- Must be able to work with a wide variety of people.
- A detail-oriented individual is needed.
Education Requirements:
- Associate’s degree is required.
