Client Overview:
Our client is a fast-paced and innovative personal care manufacturer. They are looking for a motivated R&D Lab Technician to help develop and launch new products.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$25/hr
Position Overview:
The R&D Lab Technician will support the creation of new personal care formulations. This role will focus on batching, testing, and assisting with product development projects in a hands-on lab environment.
Responsibilities of the R&D Lab Technician:
- Prepare and batch lab-scale formulations for skincare and lip products under the guidance of R&D Chemists.
- Conduct stability, performance, and quality testing to ensure products meet specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of formulations, test results, and lab procedures.
- Support scale-up and production trials by assisting with sample preparation and data collection.
- Organize and maintain the lab, including raw materials, equipment, and inventory.
- Collaborate with the R&D team to troubleshoot and refine formulations as needed.
Required Experience/Skills for the R&D Lab Technician:
- Previous lab experience, ideally in personal care, cosmetics, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
- The R&D Lab Technician should be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the R&D Lab Technician:
- Experience in skincare product formulation.
- Background in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
Education Requirements:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Equivalent lab experience will be considered.
