Our client is a dynamic and growing organization seeking a Junior Staff Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with potential for long-term growth.

Position Overview:

The Junior Staff Accountant will support the day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and assisting with the month-end close process. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, eager to learn, and capable of balancing accuracy with efficiency.

Responsibilities of the Junior Staff Accountant:

  • Assist with preparing journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation for audits.
  • Help monitor and track fixed asset activity.
  • Assist in preparing standard financial reports and variance analyses.
  • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
  • Help with data entry, invoice processing, and account coding as needed.
  • Support ad hoc projects and reporting requests from management.

Required Experience/Skills for the Junior Staff Accountant:

  • 0 – 2 years of accounting or related experience.
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles and GAAP.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within an Accounting team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Junior Staff Accountant:

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
  • Actively pursuing CPA certification is a plus, but not required.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
