Client Overview:
Our client, a well-established fashion company, designs and produces women’s, men’s apparel and accessories sold across department stores, ecommerce platforms, and specialty retailers nationwide. They are seeking a motivated Temp Freelance Sample Assistant to join their dynamic team and support sample management operations.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$18/hr
Position Overview:
The Temp Freelance Sample Assistant will be responsible for the handling, organization, and tracking of product samples across multiple categories. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate for the Temp Freelance Sample Assistant role will have prior experience in fashion, sample management, or inventory, along with the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities of the Temp Freelance Sample Assistant:
- Unpack and sort incoming boxes of product samples.
- Receive and log samples digitally, ensuring accuracy in recordkeeping and tracking.
- Photograph and digitize physical samples according to pre-determined guidelines.
- Organize and manage storage of samples, including pickup and returns from Merchants after reviews.
- Perform data entry in Excel to maintain accurate sample records.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with teams, including Product Development, Merchandising, Buying, and Production.
Required Experience/Skills for the Temp Freelance Sample Assistant:
- Experience in sample trafficking, sample management, inventory control, or a fashion assistant role.
- Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work with urgency while maintaining accuracy.
- Multitasking skills and the ability to manage concurrent deadlines.
- Team player with strong self-motivation and follow-through.
- Previous fashion or retail industry experience required.
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma required.
