Salary/Hourly Rate:
$75k – $90k
Position Overview:
This Senior Audit Associate role is pivotal in maintaining the quality and integrity of our audit services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in auditing, excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional client service.
Responsibilities of the Senior Audit Associate:
- Lead and manage audit engagements for a variety of clients, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop audit plans.
- Prepare and review financial statements and audit reports.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and support.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their business and provide tailored audit solutions.
- Identify areas for improvement and recommend innovative solutions to enhance audit processes.
- Stay updated with changes in accounting and auditing standards and regulations.
Required Experience/Skills for the Senior Audit Associate:
- Minimum of 3 – 5 years of audit experience in a CPA firm or public accounting.
- Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and auditing standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Senior Audit Associate:
- CPA designation or progress towards certification.
- Experience with a variety of industries, including but not limited to manufacturing, nonprofit, and professional services.
- Familiarity with advanced audit techniques and tools.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Master’s degree or additional certifications are a plus.
