We are collaborating with a well-known client in the industry to offer a dynamic and challenging opportunity for a Senior Staff Accountant. Our client is recognized for their exceptional contributions and leadership within the field, ensuring a stimulating work environment.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$65k – $75k Annually, Based on experience
Position Overview:
The Senior Staff Accountant will play a pivotal role in managing financial operations and ensuring the integrity of accounting information. This is a fully onsite position near Tarpon Springs that requires a detail-oriented professional with substantial expertise in QuickBooks and preferably experience within the construction industry.
Responsibilities of the Senior Staff Accountant:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.
- Handle full-cycle accounting, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and payroll.
- Prepare financial statements and reports for management review.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulations.
- Provide support and guidance to junior accounting staff.
Required Experience/Skills for the Senior Staff Accountant:
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and Online.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Senior Staff Accountant:
- Experience in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Familiarity with project costing and job profitability analysis.
Education Requirements:
- Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
