Client Overview:
Our client, a large New York–based benefits organization, is hiring multiple Bilingual Member Services Representatives to join their team. These roles focus on helping members understand and access their healthcare, pension, and retirement benefits. The company is looking for dedicated, bilingual professionals who can provide empathetic, clear, and efficient support in a fast-paced environment.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$20/hr – $23/hr (during the temporary period)
$50,926.57 – $53,063.84 (permanent salary upon conversion, depending on bilingual status)
Position Overview:
The Bilingual Member Services Representatives will serve as the primary contact for members, answering benefit-related questions and resolving issues across health, retirement, and related programs. After paid training, representatives will handle a steady flow of calls, emails, and in-person inquiries while maintaining accurate records in multiple systems. This role requires patience, professionalism, and the ability to adapt quickly to new processes. The ideal candidates will work 35 hours per week. Shifts available are Monday – Saturday between 8:30 AM and 6:00 PM.
Responsibilities of the Bilingual Member Services Representatives:
- Answer member questions regarding eligibility, enrollment, claims, and pensions.
- Resolve issues by working with vendors across medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, and other benefit services.
- Enter and track data accurately in multiple platforms (CRM and internal systems).
- Manage a personal caseload of member inquiries while meeting quality standards.
- Deliver empathetic, professional, and clear communication in both English and a second language.
- Work efficiently in a high-volume call center/welcome center environment.
Required Experience/Skills for the Bilingual Member Services Representatives:
- Fluent in English and Spanish is mandatory (other languages considered).
- Strong computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, CRM platforms).
- Excellent active listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stay organized and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
- Dependable, punctual, and committed to professional growth.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Bilingual Member Services Representatives:
- Familiarity with healthcare or pension benefits.
- Call center or high-volume member services background.
- Prior experience in customer service, healthcare, or benefits administration is preferred.
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma is required.
- Some college coursework is preferred.
