Our client is a government-funded organization that services the workers’ union. The organization provides high-quality benefits and services to their members. Their goal is to improve members’ quality of life by administering economic benefits. Their core values are centralized by initiative, respect, teamwork, and sustainability. The organization is looking to expand their Call Center team by adding Member Service Representatives.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$20/hr – $23/hr DOE
Position Overview:
As part of the Member Services Call Center team, the Member Service Representatives will assist all participants with benefit-related inquiries. This includes health, pension, and retirement savings. The Member Service Representatives will handle all inquiries with both members and vendors that participate in the organization. The Member Service Representatives will be responsible for collecting data to resolve issues in real time at high volume and maintaining accurate, detailed documentation. Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach are essential to ensure a positive and efficient experience for all participants. The Member Service Representatives must be flexible to work on Saturdays.
Responsibilities of the Member Service Representatives:
- Respond to member inquiries regarding eligibility, enrollment, benefits, claims, and pensions.
- Coordinate and resolve inquiries with external vendors and members.
- Demonstrate proficiency in multiple CRM systems.
- Analyze data to resolve high-volume issues in real time.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with participants to deliver accurate information and support.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support team operations.
Required Experience/Skills for the Member Service Representatives:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional demeanor and ability to work with discretion.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Member Service Representative:
- Prior call experience is preferred, but not required.
- Healthcare, employee benefits, or customer service experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience with CRM tools.
- Fluency in two or more languages.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
