We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our client’s Finance team.

Position Overview:

The ideal candidate for the Accounts Receivable Specialist role will have a strong background in accounts receivable, specifically within the real estate industry, and must be proficient in using Yardi Software. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for managing incoming payments, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, and maintaining comprehensive financial records.

Responsibilities of the Accounts Receivable Specialist:

  • Process and manage incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivable data.
  • Prepare bills, invoices, and bank deposits.
  • Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
  • Verify discrepancies and resolve client billing issues.
  • Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.
  • Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status.
  • Collaborate with the Finance team to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

Required Experience/Skills for the Accounts Receivable Specialist:

  • Experience in accounts receivable or junior accountant responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in Yardi Software is an absolute must.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Accounts Receivable Specialist:

  • Experience with financial reporting and analysis.
  • Knowledge of real estate accounting practices.
  • Familiarity with other accounting software.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
