Our client is a growing manufacturing company, a leader in their industry. They are looking to add a Senior Human Resources Generalist to their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
Up to $90k
Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a candidate who can handle the overall Senior Human Resources Generalist position. This candidate will handle payroll, employee relations, benefits, and interviews, just to name a few.
Responsibilities of the Senior Human Resources Generalist:
- Records & Reports: The Senior Human Resources Generalist will establish and maintain department records and reports. Maintain employee files, organizational charts, and employee rosters. Participate in management, staff, and other meetings as required and requested.
- Benefits and Payroll Administration: Provide benefits and payroll administration, completing necessary paperwork to ensure compliance with company audit requirements. Process payroll using ADP Workforce Now, ensuring timecards are properly submitted and all OT hours, on-call hours, vacation, and sick time are accurately tracked and paid. Answer payroll questions and facilitate resolutions to any payroll errors.
- Talent Acquisition: Manage the talent acquisition process, including sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding. Conduct exit interviews to gather feedback and improve processes.
- Retirement Accounts: Oversee the company’s 401(K) and Profit-Sharing Account. Respond to employee inquiries about their retirement accounts and assist in the fair distribution of profit-sharing allocation.
- Performance Evaluation: Oversee the company’s annual performance evaluation process, ensuring that employees receive fair performance evaluations and salary adjustments commensurate with performance scores.
- Policy Development: Develop, recommend, and implement personnel policies and procedures. The Senior Human Resources Generalist will prepare and maintain the employee handbook on policies and procedures.
- Benefit Administration: Perform benefit administration, including change reporting, approving invoices for payment, annual evaluation of policies for cost-effectiveness, and claims resolution.
- HR Department Management: Plan, organize, and control all activities of the HR Department. Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
- Employee Relations: Counsel managers and employees consistently with company policies and legal considerations. Facilitate the resolution of employee-related issues.
- Training and Development: Consult with managers and employees on training and development needs. Work with supervisors and managers to assess division/department staffing requirements and develop cost-effective recruiting strategies. Screen applicants and make appropriate hiring decisions, and offer recommendations. Assist managers in developing job descriptions.
- Compensation Studies: Develop salary structures and/or conduct special compensation studies based on local market values.
- Upper Management Collaboration: Work closely with upper management to ensure the success of human resources programs. Notify the President of any major problems affecting Human Resources operations and the maintenance of positive employee relations. Recommend changes in Human Resources policies/procedures.
- Organizational Development: Facilitate organizational assessment and development of strategies and tactics to address current issues and future needs.
- Legal Compliance: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws.
Required Experience/Skills for the Senior Human Resources Generalist:
- Our client is seeking a candidate with 5+ years of HR experience.
- Strong conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work alongside leadership.
- Strong knowledge of labor relations.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
