Client Overview:

Our client is a well known Private Label brand specializing across women’s categories including knits, wovens, bottoms, dresses and more. They are looking for an Account Executive with experience in major stores with at least 5 years of experience.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$35/hr – $40/hr

Position Overview:

The Account Executive must be an experienced and dynamic professional to join the Private Label team on a temp-to-perm basis. This role is ideal for a proven professional with strong client management, product development, and sales acumen within the fashion industry. The Account Executive will manage key retailer relationships, oversee the product lifecycle from concept through delivery, and ensure that business goals are consistently met.

Responsibilities of the Account Executive:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for assigned retail partners, managing all aspects of account relationships.
  • Partner with internal design, production, and merchandising teams to develop private label collections aligned with customer direction, pricing, and calendar.
  • Present seasonal assortments, manage line reviews, and support buyer meetings.
  • Analyze sales performance, track orders, and monitor key metrics to drive replenishment and growth opportunities.
  • Oversee the order-to-delivery process, ensuring accuracy and timely fulfillment.
  • Negotiate pricing, margins, and terms in collaboration with management.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing and prospective accounts.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, competitive landscape, and retail strategies.

Required Experience/Skills for the Account Executive:

  • 5+ years of experience as an Account Executive, Sales Manager, or similar role in private label or wholesale fashion.
  • Strong understanding of product development, costing, and retail calendars.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with major retailers.
  • Proficient in Excel and PLM or ERP systems; experience with retail portals is a plus.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Account Executive:

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or work equivalent.
