We are partnering with a well-established and growing commercial construction company headquartered in Atlanta, GA, known for delivering quality projects across multiple states. The team takes pride in maintaining a strong reputation for integrity, safety, and on-time performance. With continued growth and a busy project pipeline, the company is seeking an experienced Traveling Commercial Superintendent to lead project execution and field operations on long-term out-of-state assignments.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$130k+ Annually (Based on experience) and 10% annual bonus
Position Overview:
The Traveling Commercial Superintendent will oversee day-to-day field operations, subcontractor coordination, and project safety on commercial builds. This role requires someone who can lead crews effectively, ensure quality workmanship, and deliver projects on schedule while maintaining the company’s high standards.
Responsibilities of the Traveling Commercial Superintendent:
- Lead and manage all on-site construction activities from start to completion.
- Supervise field staff, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure work meets specifications and deadlines.
- Maintain project schedules, daily reports, and safety documentation.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, and Owners to ensure seamless communication.
- Enforce all safety standards and company policies.
- Resolve on-site issues and ensure efficient project delivery.
Required Experience/Skills for the Traveling Commercial Superintendent:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Lead Superintendent on commercial construction projects.
- Proven ability to manage ground-up and/or renovation projects independently.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to travel extensively and manage projects lasting 7 – 8 months out of state.
- Solid understanding of construction documents, safety standards, and scheduling software.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Traveling Commercial Superintendent:
- Experience with retail, healthcare, or industrial projects.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Proficiency in Procore or similar construction management platforms.
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred.
