The team is seeking a results-driven Director of Treasury to join its leadership ranks and help guide the company’s financial strategy.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$130k – $160k
Position Overview:
The Director of Treasury will serve as a strategic leader responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization’s cash management, liquidity optimization, and financial risk mitigation. This role requires a strong blend of strategic vision, technical treasury expertise, and leadership capability. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in advancing financial efficiency, strengthening banking relationships, and implementing treasury systems to support long-term growth.
Responsibilities of the Director of Treasury:
- Develop and maintain dynamic short- and long-term cash flow forecasting models.
- Establish and manage cash pooling and optimization strategies to enhance liquidity and minimize borrowing costs.
- Implement internal control frameworks to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
- Lead audits and maintain audit readiness through robust documentation and process alignment.
- Manage and enhance relationships with banking partners to secure favorable terms and reduce fees.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks, including interest rate and credit exposures.
- Support the CFO in optimizing capital structure and liquidity planning for strategic initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions.
- Oversee implementation of treasury management systems (TMS) to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Design and maintain dashboards and reporting tools for real-time insights into cash flow and liquidity performance.
- Lead, mentor, and develop treasury team members to promote continuous improvement and technical excellence.
- Research and implement innovative technologies and best practices in treasury operations.
Required Experience/Skills for the Director of Treasury:
- Proven experience leading treasury functions within a complex or high-growth organization.
- Advanced knowledge of cash management, liquidity optimization, and financial risk mitigation.
- Strong understanding of banking relationships, debt structures, and capital markets.
- Demonstrated ability to implement or manage treasury management systems (TMS).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Director of Treasury:
- Experience within the real estate development, investment management, or related industries.
- Background in supporting large capital projects, mergers, or acquisitions.
- Expertise in developing and standardizing treasury processes and reporting frameworks.
- Track record of driving operational efficiency and innovation within treasury functions.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required.
- Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CTP, CFA, CPA) is preferred.
