Client Overview:
One of our well-established accounting partners is looking for an Accounting Analyst to join their expanding team.
$22/hr – $26/hr
Position Overview:
The Accounting Analyst ensures accurate financial reporting through account reconciliation and data analysis. They support monthly and annual close processes, maintain compliance, and drive efficiency through process improvements and automation.
Responsibilities of the Accounting Analyst:
- Perform detailed P&L analysis, identifying key indicators, variances, and trends to inform strategic decisions.
- Execute daily sales reconciliation and reporting.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Prepare and present financial reports, including P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the preparation of quarterly and annual reports for banks, partners, and other stakeholders.
- Partner with the Financial Reporting Manager and Regional Directors to research and resolve discrepancies.
Required Experience/Skills for the Accounting Analyst:
- 2 – 5 years of accounting experience in the restaurant, food service, or high-volume retail industry is required.
- Strong experience with P&L analysis, variance analysis, and month-end close processes.
- Advanced Excel skills, including expertise in formulas, pivot tables, and macros.
- Experience with automation and reporting improvements.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Accounting Analyst:
- Experience with BI tools is preferred.
- Experience with Restaurant365 is a strong plus.
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and able to manage confidential information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Organizational and time management skills.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field (e.g., Business, Economics) is required.
