Client Overview:

Our client is a well-known company that is looking for an Accounting Analyst, located in Morristown, NJ. They are dedicated to providing exceptional service and products to their customers. They are committed to maintaining the highest standards of financial accuracy and accountability.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$20/hr – $26/hr depending on experience

Position Overview:

The Accounting Analyst supports finance operations by conducting in-depth P&L analysis, identifying variances, trends, and providing actionable management insights. This role is critical in daily sales reconciliation and reporting, preparing accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports, and contributing to process improvements through automation. The Accounting Analyst will be assisting with bank and balance sheet reconciliations. This position partners closely with the Financial Reporting Manager and Regional Directors, particularly in month-end close processes and supporting year-end audits.

Responsibilities of the Accounting Analyst:

• Perform detailed P&L analysis, identifying key indicators, variances, and trends to inform strategic decisions.
• Execute daily sales reconciliation and reporting.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Prepare and present financial reports, including P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support the preparation of quarterly and annual reports for banks, partners, and other stakeholders.
• Partner with the Financial Reporting Manager and Regional Directors to research and resolve discrepancies.

Required Experience/Skills for the Accounting Analyst:

• 2+ years of experience in financial analysis/general accounting.
• Well organized and excellent at multitasking.

Education requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
